Chakra Basti (Oil reservoir therapy): 45 mins @ €45
The word Chakra means wheel or disk and Basti stands for a retaining or holding. Basti means to cleanse or to wash. It’s an effective and soothing treatment that involves marinating/washing specific local areas of the body in warm Ayurvedic oil. The oil is contained to a specific area and allowed to penetrate for 20 minutes, creating very deep, penetrating heat that allows the healing qualities of the oil to infiltrate the tissue. We can treat the following areas:
- Solar Plexus Chakra: great for digestive problems
- Navel: Great for indigestion, bloating, constipation & deeply seated emotions. This point is the vital centre where all of the Ayurveda’s 72,000 nadis (subtle energy pathways) converge
- Bladder: Controls the large intestine and promotes the release of toxins and waste. Treats low back pain, constipation and a range of urinary difficulties
- Lower Back: Great for backache, osteoporosis, sciatica, hip pain & shoulder pain
