Following the completion of an Ayurvedic questionnaire, this determines the massage oil & strength & movements of the treatment.
An Ayurvedic massage differs from a Western one:
- The massage involves using warm herbal oils, which are customised based on an individual's dosha or body type, and a combination of long and flowing strokes, kneading, and acupressure
- The focus is on balancing the body's energy and improving circulation
- Ayurvedic massage aims to balance the three doshas (vata, pitta, and kapha) in the body and stimulate the flow of prana (life force energy)
